Several years ago I started an online magazine which I called TotalDobe. It was a good idea, and I had a lot of great contributors including Vic Monteleon, Anne Conroy, Teresa Mullen, Connie Apling, and more. Some of the articles you will see on this site are from the original magazine.

At that time I tried to make the magazine look just like a real magazine you'd get in the mail. It was visually stunning but also an incredible amount of work. After awhile I realized that I simply couldn't maintain the level of work for the return, and the magazine folded.

But I kept the domain name of totaldobe.com. And for the past few years I've had more ideas percolating in my head. I have always admired the Dobermann Review. I love their huge database of European dogs and pedigrees. They offer advertising of a dog on their site for a reasonable fee, and once the dog is on the site, it stays forever—no renewals, no extra fees. I thought that was a super idea, but I also wanted to take it further.

As far as I know, there's no single source on the net for all things Doberman. All club listings, listings of all the known doberman e-groups, a central place for information and articles about all of the different things our Dobermans excel at. I'd like a place where people can advertise dogs of all types. A place where people can go and find pictures of a large number of dogs of both the North American and European type.

Overall, I'd like TotalDobe to be a place where people from all of the Doberman communities—schutzhund, agility, pet, breed, can find great information and get to know each other and more about this great breed.
